Kula Shaker announce new album Wormslayer, release new single ‘Good Money’
The new record comes out January 30, 2026.
Kula Shaker have announced the release of their eighth album Wormslayer, due out January 30.
They also released the album’s lead single and its accompanying video ‘Good Money’, described as “a kaleidoscopic whirlpool of ‘60s psychedelia, sumptuous soul and retro-freakery funk.”
Check it out below:
As Crispian Mills explains about the music video: “Our last video was all in camera, real stunts, real props and epic battle scenes which people assumed was all AI. So we’ve taken a different approach with ‘Good Money’.
“The whole video is entirely AI generated by two monkeys, we gave them the song and the lyrics and this is what they came up with. It’s kind of mind blowing.”
The new record will also include previously released singles ‘Charge of the Light Brigade’ and ‘Broke as Folk’.
Speaking of Wormslayer, Mills added: “I hope people enjoy the twists and turns that this new record takes you on. We always loved those psychedelic records that had great songs, great production, great storytelling, and took you on a journey.
“We always dig into that kind of experience, because we’re that kind of band. Kula Shaker has a life of its own. We’re just passengers, watching it happen in realtime.”
In addition to the record, Kula Shaker will be embarking on a February UK tour which will kick off in Brighton on February 7 and wrap up in London on February 13, with stops in Cambridge, Glasgow and more along the way.
You can pre-order Wormslayer here.
