KNEECAP’s DJ Próvaí collaborates with Dublin artist Aches for global charity project
Proceeds from the Music Shaped 2025 auction will fund creative projects for artists in conflict zones, LGBTQI+ communities, and those responding to the climate crisis worldwide.
KNEECAP’s DJ Próvaí has teamed up with Dublin visual artist Aches as part of Music Shaped 2025, an international charity art project in support of global non-profit organisation In Place of War.
The initiative, which also features contributions from Don Letts, Joe Talbot (Idles), AURORA, Louis Theroux, Maxine Peake, Philip Selway (Radiohead), and others, brings together 24 musicians, cultural figures, and artists to produce 12 new pieces reflecting how music has shaped their lives.
Each collaboration begins with a recorded conversation between the artists, culminating in the creation of an original artwork inspired by their discussion and shared creative process.
"Danu" by Aches based on conversation with DJ Próvaí (KNEECAP)The completed works will be auctioned as part of the Sound and Cinema Auction, presented by Bonhams online from November 24 to December 3.
Proceeds will support In Place of War’s #HackMusic Programme, which funds music projects led by indigenous communities, LGBTQI+ artists, and creatives working in conflict zones or responding to the climate crisis.
“This beautiful project allows us to fundraise for critical initiatives in places affected by conflict through new artworks by some of the most brilliant artists on the planet,” said In Place of War CEO Ruth Daniel. “We hope audiences will enjoy these pieces, which tell stories of how art and music connect us all.”
Last year’s Music Shaped raised £32,100 for the charity, with contributors including Self Esteem, Charlotte Church, AURORA, Ed O’Brien (Radiohead), and Brian Eno, who will again host this year’s fundraising dinner at his London studio in December.
