Kilkenny metal band Kerbdog raffling off album test pressings in aid of Samaritans
The first round of Hassle's test pressings include Brutus, Phoxjaw, We Are The Ocean, Kerbdog and Rolo Tomassi albums.
Hassle Records are running a charity test pressing raffle, with Kilkenny alternative metal band Kerbdog's two albums Kerbdog and On The Turn included in the scheme. The outfit have chosen The Samaritans as their cause of note.
Following their two major-label albums released on Mercury Records, the band split up in 1998. Since 2005, the band has reformed for a series of occasional one-off performances in Ireland and England.
Alongside encouraging, promoting and celebrating those moments of connection between people that can save lives, Samaritans offer listening and support to people and communities in times of need. In prisons, schools, hospitals and on the rail network, Samaritans are working with people who are going through a difficult time and training others to do the same.
In what they hope will become a regular series, Hassle Records joined forces with five artists whose albums they've been proud to release in aid of charities close to their hearts.
The test pressings from Brutus, Phoxjaw, We Are The Ocean, Kerbdog and Rolo Tomassi were all used to approve the original vinyl pressing of the release prior to manufacture and are incredibly rare.
Entry into each individual raffle is £5, and all of the proceeds go to the respective artist's charity of choice.
The raffle will close at 23:59pm on Sunday, January 17th; with the winner picked at random on Monday, January 18th. All information on the initiative can be found here.
With our friends @hasslerecords we are raffling two
test pressings of our vinyl reissues to raise money for @samaritans.
It's a great cause, all support is welcome.
