Kendrick Lamar to co-headline Global Citizen Festival
With Rihanna, Metallica, and Selena Gomez
Longitude hero Kendrick Lamar will headline another major festival; the rap superstar will co-headline Global Citizen Festival with Rihanna, Metallica, and Selena Gomez.
The festival's aim is to combat the worldwide problem of poverty. It has occurred every September at New York's Central Park since 2012, with Beyoncé and Coldplay being among last year's acts.
Hugh Jackman will return as a speaker; he will be joined by Chelsea Handler and Salma Hayek among others.
Usher, Chris Martin, Ellie Goulding, and Eddie Vedder will be among the guest artists.
The event will be streamed live.
