Katy Perry lined up for Super Bowl halftime show

Having earlier been named on a shortlist along with Rihanna and Coldplay, it appears as though Katy Perry will be playing the halftime show at the Super Bowl.

Super Bowl XLIX (that's 49, to all non-Romans) will take place on February 1, and organisers will hope that Perry can emulate the success of Bruno Mars, who last year drew a record TV audience of 115 million Stateside viewers.
