Kadi & The Trix announce Irish date
The Twisted Pepper welcomes Yasmin Kadi and co later this month...
Kadi & The Trix play their only Irish date of the year on June 29 in Dublin’s Twisted Pepper as part of the YouBloom festivities.
Equal parts No Doubt, The Noisettes and Plan B, the band are fronted by the Westmeath-based Yasmin Kadi who’s a star waiting to happen.
Originally from Sierra Leone, Kadi’s socially conscious lyrics are evident in songs like ‘What A Beautiful Day’ and ‘Don’t Wanna Be A Model’, which deal respectively with political corruption and the pressure to conform.
As well as picking up a Best UK Unsigned Band award in 2012, they’ve been fawned over by the BBC Introducing crew and are working on an EP with All Saints and Atomic Kitten man Alex Van Soos.
