Judge Jury & Executioner
The collaborative baby of Thom Yorke, Flea, longtime Radiohead producer Nigel Godrich, Beck drummer Joey Waronker and David Byrne cohort Mauro Refosco was always going to impressive, but all geniuses considered, we didn’t expect it to sound so, for want of a better word, Radiohead-y. Of course, a track that suggests that someone breathed new life into one of the greatest bands of all time will never be a bad thing in our books, so, with its rolling rhythms, expert string-plucking and haunting vocal line, ‘Judge, Jury and Executioner’ will do us just fine, thanks (even if we were hoping for something a little more daring). The album Amok, drops in February.
