Joshua Idehen announces album and shares new single

Spoken word artist Joshua Idehen has announced the release of his album I Know You’re Hurting, Everyone Is Hurting, Everyone Is Trying, You Have Got To Try, set to release on March 6, 2026. Spoken word artist

The British-born, Stockholm-based writer and poet has also shared the first single from the album, ‘It Always Was’, out now.

‘It Always Was’ is accompanied by a video directed by Jonny Sanders. The video was filmed in both London and Stockholm, with appearances from his mother and daughter.

In addition to the album release, Idehen has announced a UK and European tour in 2026, following support dates with Baxter Dury in November 2025.

He will play Mandela Hall, Belfast on November 11 and Vicar Street, Dublin on November 12. His own headline tour will include a performance at The Workman’s Club in Dublin on April 25, 2026.
