James Blake teases new music
His most recent work includes collaborations with Ludwig Göransson on the Grammy-award nominated film Sinners.
James Blake has teased new music.
The English singer and producer posted the music snippet to social media yesterday, teasing fans with a short clip of him sitting at a desk surrounded by control boards and synthesizers. Blake, who first made waves following the release of his Mercury Prize-winning 2013 album Overgrown, last released music in 2024, with his single 'Like The End'.
The electronic musician launched his own streaming platform in 2024, after making statements criticising "unfair" pay rates from major streaming services and platforms such as TikTok.
“I wanted to find a way for musicians to make money directly from the music they make, not least to be able to reinvest in the very expensive process of renting studios, hiring musicians, etc,” stated the singer-songwriter.
Since making his debut in 2009 with 'Air & Lack Thereof', the producer has gone on to release six studio albums, as well as a collaborative album with rapper Lil Yachty in 2024, titled Bad Cameo. His most recent work includes collaborations with Ludwig Göransson on the Grammy-award nominated film Sinners.
Blake has not officially toured since 2013.
