James Bay tops the Irish singles chart
'Hold Back The River' climbs to No. 1
The feeling that this would be James Bay's year looks like being accurate, as 'Hold Back The River' has climbed to the summit of the Irish singles chart.
The lusciously-locked singer-songwriter has been in the top ten for over a month, but finally reached the top at the expense of the Rihanna/Kanye/Paul McCartney power trio, who slip to No. 2 with 'Four Five Seconds'.
Another former bestseller, Ellie Goulding's 'Love Me Like You Do', is at No. 4, a spot behind OMI's 'Cheerleader', while Mark Ronson's 'Uptown Funk' is still performing well, sitting at No. 6 this week.
There's no new entry in the top ten - in fact, it's merely reshuffled since last week - as Years & Years, Hozier, Sia, Maroon 5, and Sam Smith & John Legend all hang around for another seven days.
