Sound City is the legendary San Fernando Valley studio used by everyone from Tom Petty and Fleetwood Mac to Metallica and Nirvana who over 16 action-packed days assembled Nevermind there.
Sadly, the analogue haven closed commercially in 2011, a victim of the new digital technology it was so resistant to.
Featuring interviews with Frank Black, Paul McCartney, Barry Manilow, Trent Reznor, Mick Fleetwood and Lars Ulrich, to name just six, it’s an absolute must-see. It’s also a must-listen with the accompanying Sound City: Real To Reel OST featuring specially recorded collaborations with Stevie Nicks, Rick Springfield, Paul McCartney, Trent Reznor, Corey Taylor and Joshua (get him!)
