Forgive me for harping on like an over-caffeinated aerobics instructor, but what with January being the sleepiest month of the year, I reckon we could all do with a bit of musical defibrillation. If it’s a wake-up call you’re after, look no further than this fine piece of electronic obnoxiousness from LA-based drum and bass aficionado Edwin Garro, known to clubbers by his alias, UFO! The name says it all, really, but seeing as we’re still feeling the affects of our holiday coma, I’ll spell it out for you; monster 808s, grinding beats and edgy, pitched-down vocals put this track on a par with a dozen vitamin B12 injections.
