Irish Singles Chart: Ellie Goulding remains dominant
'Love Me Like You Do' from the 50 Shades of Grey Soundtrack whips the competition
Buoyed by the release of the outrageously successful 50 Shades of Grey film, Ellie Goulding's song from the soundtrack, 'Love Me Like You Do,' remains at the top of the Irish singles chart for a second week after dethroning the long-reigning 'Uptown Funk!'
Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars' monster-hit track didn't go far, though, sitting comfortably at second place for the second week running. It wasn't a week of great change, with Rihanna's 'Fourfiveseconds,' Ed Sheeran's 'Thinking Out Loud,' and Sia's 'Elastic Heart' remaining in the third, fourth and fifth spots respectively.
'Cool Kids' by Echosmith moved up from eight to seven and 'Sugar' by Maroon 5 from twelve to eight. The new James Bay track 'Hold Back the River' impressively debuted this week to a cool number ten spot.
