Irish electro-pop duo Elkin to play socially-distant Button Factory gig
ANTHOLOGY, a collection of singles from Elkin, are being released from February to August 2021.
Electronic pop duo Ellen O’Mahony and Carla Ryan, AKA Elkin, have announced a socially distant gig at Dublin's Button Factory.
Slated to take place on Thursday, July 22nd, tickets are just €15 and are limited to 85.
Having collaborated since the age of 15, Elkin members Carla and Ellen share a near twin-like sense of musical synchronicity in their growing catalogue of pop bangers.
Currently, the duo's ANTHOLOGY releases include 'Tuesday', 'Kismet' and 'Clothes'.
Blending punk language with an energetic pop beat, the duo's third track from the ANTHOLOGY project 'Clothes' smashes societal expectations and policing of women's bodies through dress codes and body-shaming.
On 'Tuesday', the pair teamed up with producer Lullahush once again for a tune about an anticlimactic breakup that happened on a ‘Tuesday’. The single burns with the annoyance of being too kind to end a relationship that should have ended way before.
2019 and 2020 saw a string of tracks shared, 'Green Eyes', 'Cut My Tongue', 'DIY', 'Fall So Easy', 'Win Win' and 2017's 'She Hated Love Songs II' with Tebi Rex.
