Clannad announce Irish dates for their 50th Anniversary Farewell Tour
Tickets from €49 go on sale via Ticketmaster this Friday, 23rd April at 10am.
Award-winning traditional act Clannad are celebrating their 50 year-career with a farewell world tour, announcing brand new Irish dates this morning.
The legendary act will perform in Wexford, Limerick, Galway and Limerick in March 2022, with tickets going on sale this Friday from Ticketmaster and Clannad's website.
The Grammy and BAFTA award winning band have sold more than 15 million records worldwide, recently collaborating with Limerick rap star Denise Chaila for a revitalised version of their hit 'In a Lifetime'.
To coincide with this very special Farewell Tour, BMG have released ‘In a Lifetime’ Anthology; a multi-format, career-spanning anthology containing tracks from Clannad’s 50-year recording career.
Released in 2020, the anthology captures Clannad’s incredible and enduring body of work - which includes over 16 studio albums. The band’s world tour is due to officially kick off this September with 23 North American shows, followed by nine UK shows.
The multi-award winning Clannad have taken Irish music and the Irish language to a worldwide audience in their time as an act. Fusing elements of traditional Irish music with more contemporary folk, new age, and rock they have created a beautifully unique and ethereal sound which combines haunting melodies and mesmerising vocals to transcend the sands of time whilst appealing to a worldwide audience of all ages.
