Ireland's finest kick start a glorious day at Forbidden Fruit
It's all kicking off here in Kilmainham, where the Trinity Orchestra, Daithi and Tieranniesaur have already wooed the crowds.
The sun's out, the sky's (partially) blue and there's music coming at us from all directions; yep, you could say that our Forbidden Fruit 2013 experience has gotten off to a marvellous start!
After squeezing in a spot of air-guitar during Trinity Orchestra's Queen revival on the Main Stage, team HP left just enough time to score a look-in at experimental rockers Ghost Estates, who were tearing up the Lighthouse Stage at the same time. Keeping us company in the crowd were The Mighty Stef and the Hot Sprockets, who promptly high-tailed it over to the Hot Press Speakeasy for the grand opening of this year's festivities.
Having both delivered foot-stomping acoustic sets to a packed tent, Stef and Sprockets are now free to sample some of Forbidden Fruit's extra-curricular delights.
Next stop on our sightseeing schedule; the Undergrowth Stage, where Galway fiddler-come-production whiz Daithi propelled a heaving crowd 12 hours forward in time with a club-tastic set.
Another gang of certified party-starters, the lovely lads of Le Galaxie, are scheduled to appear in the Hot Press Speakeasy at 4.30.
Let the games continue!
