Inhaler's Cuts & Bruises among the biggest cassette albums of 2023 in the UK
The Irish band feature alongside the likes of Olivia Rodrigo, Ed Sheeran and Kylie Minogue with the biggest cassette releases of the year.
The UK's Official Charts Company have revealed the biggest cassette albums of 2023 today – with Inhaler listed at No.4 for their acclaimed second album, Cuts & Bruises.
Cuts & Bruises – which previously reached No.2 on the UK's Official Albums Chart – was also included among Hot Press's 50 Best Albums of 2023, coming in at No.6.
Hot Press's Will Russell praised Cuts & Bruises following its release in February 2023, writing: "Across eleven ear-worms, Inhaler conjure visions of delirious revellers howling their catchy choruses in festival fields across Europe and beyond. By the end of the year they could be huge."
"This is no mere emulation or homage," his eight-star album review concluded. "By assimilating the work of other artists, Inhaler have successfully transcended their influences and forged their own identity. Watch them soar."

Cassette tapes continued to make a remarkable comeback across 2023, following in the footsteps of the vinyl revival – with the retro format striking a chord with a brand new generation.
Olivia Rodrigo's GUTS takes the top spot on the list of 2023's biggest cassettes, followed by Ed Sheeran's – [Subtract] at No.2 and Kylie Minogue's Tension at No.3.
And Inhaler aren't the only Irish act to make the Top 10 – with Hozier's Unreal Unearth listed at No.9.
Inhaler are also featured as today's instalment in the 12 Interviews of Xmas series on hotpress.com.
"...Cuts & Bruises is something we’re very proud of collectively as a band,” frontman Eli Hewson remarks in the interview. “Our love for it will help stick whatever landing the album gets. It’s better than making something you didn’t connect with. That’s the main thing Inhaler care about. We want listeners to feel our joy from it.”
