Im Am Corrugated
Sounding futuristic and fresh, James manages to try on different styles to great effect and emerges with a record that is uniquely his own.
For the uninitiated, Corrugated Tunnel (aka Edwin James) has been performing and recording since the 90s, and his cunning blend of sublime beats and ambient blips and squeaks have made him a hot property in the electronic world. Pound for pound I Am Corrugated is probably the best example of his work yet. Sounding futuristic and fresh, James manages to try on different styles to great effect and emerges with a record that is uniquely his own. The Kraftwerk and Orbital influences are obvious, but Edwin manages to both pay tribute to those aforementioned visionaries while blazing his own trail and that’s what marks his music out to be something truly special.
Key Track: ‘Careful What You Wish For’
