Il Divo confirm additional Dublin show
Now as one of the most successful groups in the world with over 22 million albums sold, Il Divo have announced an additional Irish date on Sunday March 8, at the O2.
This is the group's third March Irish date, with gigs already announced in the O2 Dublin on March 7 and the Odyssey, Belfast on Monday March 9.
Il Divo's fifth album The Promise debuted at Number 2 on the Irish Album Charts last Friday. Since coming together in 2004, Il Divo – David Miller, Carlos Marín, Urs Buhler & Sébastien Izambard – have sold out two world tours, performing to over 1.5million fans in thirty countries.
The 2009 tour, An Evening with Il Divo, will kick off February 21 in Manchester with a schedule including eight performances in the UK, followed by concerts in Ireland, The Netherlands, Germany, Austria, Spain, Italy, Paris, Switzerland, Serbia and Slovenia. The tour will then head to North America and cross six continents before closing the year in Australia, Japan and South East Asia.
The new show will be staged and choreographed by William Baker (Kylie, Jamiroquai) on a state-of-the-art set, which also offers fans the chance to sit within the staging, for a unique concert experience. "Il Divo will perform for approximately 90mins with a 20min intermission integrated into the set (there will be no support)," a statement from promoters MCD stated.
Tickets for Il Divo's extra concert date at The O2, Dublin on Sunday March 8 go on sale on Friday November 21 at 9am.
Tickets are priced €72.70, €61.80 and €51.80 all including booking fee. The Il Divo world tour is produced by Live Nation Global Touring and by arrangement with Octagon Music and Syco Music. Presented locally by MCD.
