Ian Watkins remanded in custody
The Lostprophets frontman has been remanded in custody after appearing at Cardiff magistrates' court to face child sex abuse charges...
As Hot Press reported yesterday Ian Watkins, the frontman of Welsh rockers Lostprophets, was to be charged, along with two women aged 20 and 24, with conspiracy to engage in sexual activity with a female under 13 and possession/distribution of indecent images of children at Cardiff magistrates court yesterday.
Magistrate Alan Knight decided to remand Watkins, and the two women (who can't be named for legal reasons) into custody. All three were denied bail and will now appear before Cardiff crown court on December 31.
The other members of Lostprophets have posted the following message on the bands website:
"Following charges made today against Ian Watkins, we find ourselves in a state of shock. We are learning about the details of the investigation along with you. It is a difficult time for us and our families, and we want to thank our fans for their support as we seek answers.
Jamie, Lee, Luke, Mike and Stu"
