Hot Press Track of the Day: David Rooney & Blancke's 'Home'

Recorded and filmed by Sloe Sessions at The Oat Gallery, Ballinasloe, the video features singer-songwriter and long-term Hot Press illustrator David Rooney, with harpist Floriane Blancke.

Speaking about the track, David Rooney said: "Though not intentionally written for the purpose, I think Home has a resonance for those who seek refuge in strange lands and for those for whom a Home is a dream. It was a case of the song coming out almost fully formed one evening during the recent snow at our home in Wicklow. Only in playing it to others have these connections been made for me."
