Track of the Day: Audrey Bridgeman, 'Climate Change'
Listen to the magnetic new single from Audrey Bridgeman below.
Audrey Bridgeman continues to build her already vibrant repertoire of alchemic tracks with her latest release, ‘Climate Change’.
As the title infers, the track is a protest song that addresses the effects of climate change and the ongoing destruction of the planet. The offering mirrors the existential frustration of climate change with an equally striking soundscape.
‘Climate Change’ unfolds with a rousing loop of marching band drums and electrifying riffage to underline Bridgeman’s supernova vocals.
“Reversing climate change is often spoken about but it doesn’t feel like it has been addressed in any serious way yet,” says the singer-songwriter. “The guitars on the track reflect the panic and emotion nature is experiencing with the raw vocals conveying mother earth’s cry for help”.
“Nowhere to run. It’s Climate Change,” Bridgeman sings over the anthemic backing.
Helmed at Dublin’s Sonic Recording Studios, the track saw Bridgeman teaming up with her longtime collaborator Gerry Hendrick, who also lent songwriting, instrumental and production chops.
