Hot Press Track of the Day: An exclusive listen to Hermitage Green's new single 'Lion's Share'

2017 has been a huge year for Hermitage Green so far. Having signed to Sony Music Ireland and selling out shows across their home country and the UK, they've played alongside the likes of Gavin James, Josh Ritter, Walking On Cars and The Pogues.

'Lions Share', their newest track, feels like a rustic tavern ballad cranked up to a stadium-sized anthem. The lyrics focus on a singer tormented by a caustic relationship, caught in the lion's den.

Talking about the song, vocalist Dan Murphy says, 'Lion's Share is an expression of certain aspects of human behaviour. Indulgence, greed, selfishness, the innate need to consume, and lastly a complete sense of apathy for all of the above. When you care for nothing - that is the moment when you can reap the full rewards".

'Lion’s Share' will officially be released tomorrow, Friday September 8.
