Conchúr White
After earning plenty of acclaim in these very pages (and elsewhere) with his previous band Silences, this Portadown songsmith looks to garner even more plaudits for his debut solo album, Swirling Violets. Released via celebrated label Bella Union, the record is a remarkable, reputation-making affair, full of meticulously assembled folk and dream-pop. White has shared stages with the likes of similarly-minded artists John Grant and the Magnetic Fields in the past, and his future is sure to be even brighter thanks to this sublime LP.
