Hot for 2020 Irish Acts: The Wha
Check out The Wha's lo-fi video for ‘Innocents’.
The Kilkenny quartet combine both old and new influences with wry lyricism, to build an energetic and playfully chaotic sound. Childhood friends Finn Cusack and Sam Cullen left school as soon as possible to focus on the band full-time, and are now part of the all-star Chess Club roster. The Wha made a major impact last year with debut single ‘Innocents’, a tune about growing up, addiction and the Catholic Church’s well-documented scandals.
Hear: ’40 Odd Years’.
