Empire-building by an ex-Rollerskate Skinny, Adrian Crowley giving Shelter, and a perfect opening line for Gemma Hayes
Confusion abounds about the mistaken/blurred/shared identities of electronic wizard David Donohoe and former Floors frontman and filmmaker Dave Donohue. The DD question even made its way onto these pages in the last issue and mistakenly assumed they were the same person – hence, we shall ambitiously attempt to resolve this once and for all. The key is the spelling of the surname, and whether the man in question is a ‘hue’ or a ‘hoe’. David Donohoe has just released his debut album First Course In Hygiene on D1 Recordings, while David Donohue recorded with The Floors and directed the music documentary masterpiece Put The Blood Back Into Music featuring New York’s Peter Zorn and Sonic Youth.
There is some cause for celebration in the Adrian Crowley camp. Adrian has re-scheduled the launch of When You Are Here You Are Family for November 21 in the Shelter following a highly unfortunate broken arm on the eve of the original launch. The official Adrian Crowley website has also gone live and can be visited at www.adriancrowley.com.
