Off strength of street freestyle
Big Sean famously landed a deal with Kanye by stopping him on the street and performing a freestyle for him. Now, Isa Muhammad has done something similar.
The then-homeless Muhammad ran into Rick Ross on the street and delivered an on-the-spot, nearly three-minute freestyle for the rapper and MMG label-head. In a video of the performance, Ross can be seen nodding his head along and repeating back some of Muhammad's lines, clearly intrigued by what he's hearing.
Since the freestyle, the young rapper has been associating with MMG, running with its members and making an appearance at Ross's Fourth of July pool party.
Muhammad reflects on his change of fate in his new single for MMG, 'Chemtrails & Muslim Wars': "Damn, a week ago was on the street now/Damn, now I'm living like a king now/Pool party at Ross's house".
