Holy Priest responds to allegations of performing pre-recorded set
"WE WON'T SUPPORT FAKE KNOBBING AND PRE-RECORDED SETS," wrote LoudLife."
Holy Priest has responded to allegations that he performed a pre-recorded set in his recent show in Lisbon, Portugal.
"Weeks of work on every show," wrote the hard and industrial techno DJ. "Custom intros. Own productions. Exclusive edits you won't hear anywhere else. Then on stage, I mix it live, with a lot of live transitions, every single show.
"Throughout my career, I haven't played any pre-recorded set. There are reasons why a set can be pre-recorded, for example, needing to sync the whole show together (lights, lasers, visuals, pyro show) but that is a whole different thing.
"I fully respect artists that have to do that in these exceptional situations 'cause sometimes it's even more work but this hasn't been the case for me yet."
The German DJ, who remains anonymous by performing in a mask, also shared a video of his performance in Portugal, highlighting the fact that "there are clearly two tracks playing".
Digital magazine LoudLife. shared videos of Holy Priest's performance, accusing him of performing a pre-recorded set by comparing him to a Michelin-star chef who reheats pre-made food.
"It's not just a scam - it's a betrayal of trust," wrote LoudLife. "Because what you're really paying for isn't just the food, it's authenticity, skill, and honesty. Strip that away, and the whole experience collapses into something almost absurd.

On April 11, Holy Priest performed a sold-out show at Dublin's Index and is set to perform a Teletech-organised event in Belfast's Ormeau Park alongside AZYR, Jazzy, Princess Glitoris, and Yasmin Gardezi on June 20.
