High Llama rising
The High Llamas bring it all back home on April 25th when they play Cork's Savoy Theatre.
Purveyors of harmonies that are positively Wilsonian in their lushness, they'll be accompanied by a brass section and assorted special guests.
Commencing April 4th, fans will also be able to view Waterloo To Waterloo: The Musical Painting, a collaboration with Belgian artist Jean Pierre Muller which is on display in Gallery One.
"The painting consists of 78 interlocking wooden shapes and individual vibrant images that fit together to form a large freestanding structure," explains a spokesperson. "16 of the shapes respond to pressure which in turn activates music, therefore allowing the viewer to become the conductor. It's up to the viewer to find these pieces."
While Waterloo… won't be making it up to Dublin's Vicar St. on April 26th, The High Llamas will with The Jimmy Cake supporting.
