Her Favourite Song

This writer’s love for ‘60s-style soul throwbacker Mayer Hawthorne cannot be underestimated, but flagrant bias notwithstanding, ‘Her Favourite Song’ is one hot ticket. Starring crooner-of-the-moment Jessie Ware as the music-loving lady of the plot, it’s an impossibly slick electro-funk slow jam that perfectly fits Hawthorne’s brief of making songs that will sound great pumping out of the PA on a million-dollar yacht (I’m paraphrasing, of course).
