The performance comes as part of the The Ally Coalition’s 7th Annual Talent Show, which was live-streamed to Jack Antonoff‘s Twitch account.
Hayley Williams has performed an impressive cover of Massive Attack‘s track ‘Teardrop’ in an effort to raise money for homeless LGBTQ+ youth in the US.
Wearing a towel around her head and a dressing gown, the Paramore frontwoman performed the 1998 song under neon, colour-changing lights.
The performance comes as part of the The Ally Coalition’s 7th Annual Talent Show, which was live-streamed to Jack Antonoff‘s Twitch account and featured a vast array of musical talent.
The livestream featured Lana Del Rey, Clairo, Brittany Howard, Sleater-Kinney, Shamir and more.
This year’s performers also include St. Vincent, Spoon, the Chicks, Tierra Whack, Brittany Howard, Maggie Rogers, Rufus Wainwright, and Muna.
In addition, brief sets were given by comedians like Reggie Watts, Aidy Bryant and Mike Birbiglia.
Antonoff’s own band Bleachers will play, and so will Big Red Machine - the project of Anotoff’s collaborators Aaron Dessner and Justin Vernon.
The press release also promises “special guests"; with Antonoff's phonebook of famous friends, it could be a major star making an appearance (as Taylor Swift did two years ago).
Williams's set comes shortly after her solo Tiny Desk debut, where Petals For Armor tracks ‘Pure Love’, ‘Taken’ and ‘Dead Horse’.
