Have a nice JJ
JJ72 have been picking up rave reviews in the States with their Los Angeles showcase being favourably compared to prime time Smashing Pumpkins.
“Yup, they were that good,” enthuses virginmega.com’s Kim Taylor. “Like Billy Corgan, JJ72 lead Mark Greaney carried the passion and commitment of his band’s music from deep within his soul as he gracefully delivered poignant songs with melancholic sweeps from their debut album.
“Los Angeles audiences are notorious for being unforgiving, yet on this crisp fall evening, they were exceptionally so, even of a mere 45-minute set that left everyone in the room longing for more.”
As well as playing a series of triple-headers with Pete Yorn and Remy Zero, Mark Greaney & Co. take care of support duties on December 4th and 5th when Coldplay descend on New York’s Irving Plaza.
Before embarking on their maiden voyage round the States, the band demoed two new songs, ‘Always And Forever’ and ‘I Saw A Prayer’, which are both likely to feature on their new album.
