Hal and Iain Archer on target for EuroSonic
The Irish entrants for the EuroSonic 2005 festival have been announced, with Hal also confirming a Delays support tour
Hal and Iain Archer have been chosen as the Irish entrants for EuroSonic 2005 which takes place in Groningen, Holland on January 13 and 14.
The two acts are traveling there courtesy of 2FM who, along with 25 other European radio stations, will be broadcasting live and recorded highlights from the live music convention.
“EuroSonic is without doubt the biggest event of its kind in Europe,” says 2FM’s Ian Wilson. “The powerhouse of new music is moving away from London to the east, the south and the north and EuroSonic is proof of that change.”
Prior to that Hal take care of support duties when Southampton cravat wearers Delays (there is no “the”!) play the Nerve Centre, Derry (November 4); Spring & Brake, Belfast (5); Temple Bar Music Centre, Dublin (6); and The Vault, Cork (7).
Unfortunately it will be without drummer Bill who’s left the band by mutual consent.
