Guns N' Roses detained at Canadian border for gun possession
Axl Rose tells Canadian customs officials that "it wasn't my gun!"
While on their ‘Not In This Lifetime Tour,’ the popular band Guns N' Roses left Philadelphia to make their way to their gig in Toronto, before they were stopped at the border by customs officials.
They were then detained after the officials discovered a firearm in the band's car.
Either due to Axl's charm or the band's popularity, the custom officials relented and allowed the band to continue on their way.
At Saturday's performance, Axl Rose told their fans, ‘They [customs officials] were very nice. They were very understanding. You know, it happens – you can forget you had a f**king gun.’
The band's representatives confirmed this unfortunate event, and added that the gun did not belong to anyone in Guns N' Roses.
Guns N' Roses will continue on their North American tour, before heading to Brazil for a few performances later this year.
