Glasgow synthpop trio Chvrches are in possession of one of the most annoying names in the business (by which I mean it took me at least four attempts to spell it correctly) but apart from that, I have to admit that they‘re a highly likable bunch. Boasting cheery, hiccupy beats, an adorably twee vocal from front woman Lauren Mayberry and a surprisingly hard-hitting bassline, ?Gun‘ satisfies most of the boxes a discerning pop fan might need ticked.
