NOT CONTENT WITH his Red Letter Day album going platinum, Kieran Goss heads out on an extensive nationwide tour

Cavan (5th); St. John’s Theatre, Listowel (7th); The Stables, Mullingar (10th); Friar’s Gate, Kilmallock (11th); The Briery Gap Theatre, Macroom (12th); Matt Molloy’s, Westport (14th); The Lobby, Cork (16th to 19th); Roisin Dubh, Galway (20th); The Garage Theatre, Monaghan (22nd); McGrory’s, Culdaff (23rd); An Creagan Visitor Centre, Monaghan (24th); Garter Lane Theatre, Waterford (25th); Vicar St., Dublin (26th); Riverbank, Newbridge (September 1st); Royal Spa Hotel, Lisdoonvarna (5th); Eire Og Club House, Carlow (6th); Ashberry Hotel, Enniskillen (7th); Arts Centre, Downpatrick (8th); An Grianan Theatre, Letterkenny (9th); Arts Centre, Clotworthy (14th); and Marina Centre, Derry (15th).
Explaining why he hasn’t settled for the usual six-big-gigs-around-the-country, Goss says: “The idea of playing in lots of small venues was suggested to me last summer, but it wasn’t possible because of foreign commitments. I’ve spent the last six months working abroad – mostly in Germany and the States, and the idea of staying in Ireland for the summer really appeals.”

Workaholic that he is, the former solicitor is also deputising for John Kelly on Radio One’s Mystery Train from August 27th to September 1st.
