Good Time
If you haven’t already heard Carly Rae Jepsen’s ‘Call Me Maybe’, go listen to it now. It’s alright, I’ll wait. It’s brilliant, right? Like pretty much everyone who correctly identified Jepsen as the protégé of fellow Canadian Justin Bieber, you probably tried your utmost to hate it but, ultimately found it totally adorable. You can understand why I would be somewhat apprehensive about a duet by an artist I love based on a single song and an artist I loathe based on many, many songs. As expected, ‘Good Time’ is just about ruined by Owl City’s grating nursery rhyme bleeps, until a throbbing, bleating chorus of ‘Whoa-oh-oh-oh-oh’s swoop in and save the day.
