All is go for Wicklow band God Is An Astronaut, with the release of a second album and download-only single plus a tour to support it.
The follow-up to their critically-acclaimed debut The End Of The Beginning is All Is Violent, All Is Bright, in the shops as we speak.
“It’s strange because we wrote the album two years ago, and it’s only just got its release,” says founding member Torsten Kinsella. “But we’re really proud of it and it will be fun to bring the songs into the live environment.”
The experimental/instrumental LP will be supported by dates at the Spring & Airbrake, Belfast (11 October); Cyprus Avenue, Cork (21 October); The Luminaire, London (24 October) and the Temple Bar Music Centre, Dublin (10 November), for which they’re planning to have “even more amazing visuals than normal” according to Kinsella.
The highly generous band are treating fans to a taster of the LP by offering 'Tempus Horizon' as a free download from www.godisanastronaut.com.
