Girls
All right, so I knew respecting women wasn't exactly at the top of the average rapper's to-do list, but the more watered down hip hop that crosses my path, the more impatient I get with the constant lady-bashing. Lately, I've found myself wondering at what point I'd develop a full-on personal beef with one of these infuriating chart-toppers. Unfortunately, that point came at 11.15pm on Thursday, November 24, when I heard 'Girls', a so-called "celebration of the female form" that confirms N-Dubz' status as the most offensive pop act on the planet. Bearing genius lines like "Girls – I tell them anything they want to hear so by the end of the night I’m fucking them", 'Girls' is rap music at its laziest and most embarrassing, although the plodding melody is somewhat saved by fly girl Tulisa's spot-on vocal stylings. Consider me on a mission to take these guys down. Seriously, Dappy, let's have you.
