Get Sick

Operating in the same category as lo-fi garage rockers Yuck and The Vaccines, Dublin’s Bouts are a band for the music-lover who is happy to live their life without hearing another single synth spill or dub crunch (I’m guessing; I have no idea what either of these things are or, indeed, if they actually exist). And here’s more good news; this double A-side release is even more palatable than their grunge-tastic debut EP. ‘Get Sick’ raises the bar for songs about wanting to throw up, while ‘Turn Away’ mixes slacker pop rhythms with a throat-rippingly jubilant chorus.
