Get Pac-ing
PAUL YOUNG BRINGS his Tex-Mex side-project, Los Pacaminos, to Dublin on August 30th for a Whelan’s one-off.
Asked about the moniker, Young says: “Los Pacaminos? It means nothing! It’s a nonsense phrase we chose, which is close to the term ‘Pack ‘em in’, meaning the audience. Somebody told us it’s close to an Argentine name for street boys, which is okay too.”
He’ll be accompanied by a six-piece band whose collective CV includes Joe Jackson, Squeeze, The Pretenders, Tina Turner and, er, Chris de Burgh.
