Garth Brooks To Perform At SXSW 2017

It's been revealed that Garth Brooks will perform on the final night of South By Southwest. The singer will play on Saturday, March 18, on the SXSW Outdoor Stage located at Lady Bird Lake with the Austin skyline as a backdrop.

Other artists on the bill include Texas country singer, Sunny Sweeney, psych-soul artist, Nicole Adkins, singer, Holly Macve, American songwriter, Shannon McNally, Texas outlaw country act Cale Tyson, and Canadian country singer Colter Wall.

In 2014, the American singer's proposed Croke Park concerts were cancelled after the singer refused to play if he couldn't perform the for five nights in Dublin. On a subsequent webcast, Brooks vowed to return to Ireland saying "Dublin, Ireland... how can I say it any more than that? Cross my heart I'll get to play there again."

Even though that promise hasn't come true yet, any Irish fans lucky enough to be in Austin for SXSW can go see the superstar perform for free.
