Gabrielle announces UK & Ireland headline tour for 2019
Her excursions will support the release of her recent album.
Gabrielle has today announced that she'll be performing on Irish shores for the first time in over ten years with the confirmation of her 'Under My Skin' UK & Ireland headline tour. Taking its name from her her album of the same title, the tour will stop off in Dublin's Olympia Theatre on the 22nd of March next year, and coincides with the singer's debut appearance as main support on Rick Astley’s UK tour.
As well as her signature hits, Gabrielle will be performing songs from her most recent album Under My Skin, which was released this July and peaked in the UK charts at No. 7, which was her best charting performance since Rise topped them in 2000. The record is the Londoner's first in eleven years and marks twenty-five years since the release of her massive debut single ‘Dreams’, which quickly stormed the charts all over Europe and Australia, announcing her as one of the biggest new names in pop.
Gabrielle is one of the UK’s most decorated singer-songwriters, having sold over 5 million records in the UK alone, as well as two No. 1 singles, ten Top 10 singles, a No. 1 album and five Top 10 Albums. She is also a two time BRIT Award winner, receiving the Best British Breakthrough Act in 1994 and the Best British Female Solo Artist in 1997, as well as also picking up various MOBO Awards and an Ivor Novello for Outstanding Song Collection. Tickets for the full tour, including her Olympia appearance, will go on sale this Thursday, the 25th of October.
