Fuse Presents Hell
If you thought German dance music alternated between tops off Teutonic trance and willfully obscure experimental electronic music, then think again as DJ Hell takes to the controls for the second mix CD from legendary techno club FUSE.
If you thought German dance music alternated between tops off Teutonic trance and willfully obscure experimental electronic music, then think again as DJ Hell takes to the controls for the second mix CD from legendary techno club FUSE. Although the Belgian club's first mix witnessed Dave Clarke's cut-to-shreds techno stomp, Hell's selection is as colourful and varied as the German DJ/producer's punk and electronic past. Boasting a slick and sleazy feel throughout, Hell unties dance floor electronic music from the Seventies and Eighties - including Donna Summer's 'I Feel Love', Spark's 'Beat The Clock' and 'Two Tribes' by Frankie Goes To Hollywood, with more contemporary electro-techno classics from Dopplereffekt, Speedy J, Maurizio and Phuture. Similar in approach to the programming last witnessed on Coldcut's Journey By DJs, Hell's ballsy selection exudes a grungy, raw edge absent in most mixes. And you thought the devil had the best tunes? Welcome to hell
