Former Placebo man returns

Former Placebo drummer Steve Hewitt brings his new band Love Amongst Ruin to Dublin on November 8 for a show in the Academy 2. Tickets are €13.50.
Now very much the frontman, Hewitt has conjured up a debut album that he describes as “a bunch of break up songs. I used this ejection from Placebo for the motivation of the lyrics. Not necessarily completely directed at Brian (Molko) and Stef (Olsdal) but at the same time it’s hard not to combine that.”
Due in September, the self-titled collection contains trace elements of Depeche Mode, Foo Fighters, New Order, Kasabian and his former band who’d better start looking to their electro-goth laurels!
