Former members of Labradford form Anjou, announce debut album
The Virginia post-punk outfit have also shared the band's debut track 'Sighting'.
It's been quite a while since Labradford's last album, 2001's fixed::context. Now two members of that band,Robert Donne and Mark Nelson, are working together again, forming Anjou with percussionist Steven Hess (Locrian, Fennesz). The band's debut self-titled album is out September 14 via Kranky.
Whuile it's been more than a decade since the last Labradford release, don't consider any of the trio rusty. During the inbetween period, Hess and Nelson worked together in Pan American, while Donne has been busy recording with Adam Wiltzie as Aix Em Klemm and with the trio Cristal.
