Forget
One to remember
A token female soul singer always turns up on the BBC Sound Of… poll, but there’s something overwhelmingly special about this year’s contender, buttery-voiced Londoner Lianne La Havas. Not only does the 22-year-old former backing singer have a timeless R&B croon (see her performance of ‘Age’ on Later…with Jools Holland or her inspired collaboration with Willy Mason ‘No Room For Doubt’ for proof), but the dance-worthy ‘Forget’ proves that there’s a place for her in the charts as well as on the stage.
