Fontaines D.C. confirm fifth album Dopamine Chamber

Fontaines D.C. have announced the title of their fifth upcoming album Dopamine Chamber with a cryptic video.

The Dublin band have been teasing the announcement for some time, performing new songs ‘Marianne’ and ‘Six Shot Morning’ at their first show of 2026 at Baluarte de la Candelaria in Spain. They also posted a collaged photo of the band on Instagram, captioned "5."

They revealed the news by posting a 27 second clip to their X account on August 16, which shows a spinning blue planet transform into a pulsing blue iris followed by the words "Dopamine Chamber", with "2026" appearing shortly after.

The video features their unreleased track 'Six Shot Morning' and is captioned with "D.c.", in reference to both their band name and the record's assumed title.

Alongside the announcement, the band have put an exclusive first pressing vinyl on sale for 24 hours at their shop, shipping in "late 2026".

This will be their first studio album since their 2024's Romance, which was produced by James Ford and reached No. 2 on the UK Albums Chart, receiving a nomination for Best Rock Album at the Grammys.

The band's performance at Baluarte de la Candelaria marked their return to stage following the death of their manager Trevor Dietz, who they referred to as "the sixth member of the band".

They are set to headline Electric Picnic in Co. Laois on August 30, with a tour announcement rumored to be made after their appearance.

The album will be released in 2026, with the date yet to be announced.
