Fly To Me

With a name that brings me right back to my art history days, Sfumato, aka drummer Daithí Ó hÉignigh and friends, specialise in woozy, heartfelt alternative folk, as evidenced by their spell-weaving album These Things Between… Ó hÉignigh has been in the business of show for 14 years as a skin pounder, but this project marks the first time he has stepped out from behind the kit and put his deliciously weather-beaten voice to work. A soaring, charging love song of the purest kind, the title-track from latest E.P. Fly To Me makes particularly good use of Ó hÉignigh’s talents, as well as those of fellow crooners Rebecca Collins and Miriam Ingram. Check it out on Soundcloud
