First day of Tulisa Contostavolos drugs trial sees co-defendant plea guilty
The N-Dubz singer is accused of setting up a cocaine deal.
As the first day of the Tulisa Contostavolos drugs trial went forward, the singer and former X-Factor host saw her co-defendant Michael Coombs, better known as the rapper Mike GLC, switching his plea from 'not guilty' to 'guilty'. Coombs was granted bail and will be sentenced at the end of Contostavolos' trial.
Contostavolos did very little, only speaking to confirm her name and reaffirm her not guilty plea. At one point she had to be lead out of the courtroom due to a nosebleed.
The charges stem from her alleged involvement in a 2013 incident in which Coombs was the supplier of hard drugs for an undercover tabloid journalist.
The jury has been sworn in and the prosecution will begin today.
